Comunidad Connect Homecoming Dinner

 November 1, 2025

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we gather with friends, family, and colleagues to celebrate the impact we’ve made together—and look ahead to the work still to come.

We’re excited to welcome our Country Directors from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, who will be with us in person to share inspiring stories, exciting updates, and our shared vision for 2025.

Set against the lively backdrop of Latin music and the return of the beloved Ibarra Family serving up authentic Mexican cuisine, this will be a night full of flavor, rhythm, and meaningful connection.

New Venue, Limited Seating:
This year’s celebration will be held at our beautiful new hacienda-style location, and space is limited. We encourage table sponsorships to secure your spot.

Why Sponsor a Table?
100% of sponsorships go directly to programs improving health and well-being for families in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. All sponsorships are tax-deductible, and individuals and businesses alike are welcome to participate.

Each table seats 8—perfect for gathering your network and introducing others to the Comunidad Connect family. Whether you’re reconnecting with familiar faces or making new ones, we can’t wait to welcome you.

“The Lake House” at Avondale Lake                    59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates, GA 30002

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with craft cocktails, scrumptious appetizers, and live Latin jazz. At 7 p.m. we will enjoy a buffet dinner curated by Arturo and Monce Ibarra. Their heirloom recipes from Vera Cruz, Mexico come from generations of abuelas.
We’ll hear from guest speakers about current events and new programs in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. This includes an exciting partnership with Delta Vacations, showcased by a luxurious vacation package for auction. The fiesta continues with our resident house DJ from Santiago, Dominican Republic.

The Community Club on Lake Avondale has ample porches, verandas and dining rooms for our evening’s activities so weather will not be an issue. Think of this as a Homecoming Dinner at your family’s hacienda in Atlanta. Attire is Dressy Casual. Women can consider a dress, skirt and dressy top, dressy pants outfit, nice jeans, etc. Men can consider a seasonal sport coat and slacks, dress shirt, casual button-down shirt, open-collar or polo shirt, nice jeans, optional tie, etc.

We encourage ride-sharing, but also know that parking is available.
